To the "Lone Wolf" Christian

Our culture and society pushes "individualism". This gives way to a sense of solitude and "I can do it on my own" mentality. It is only feasible that in the Christian faith, where fellowship and togetherness is emphasized, encouraged, and yes commanded, we struggle. Did you know that you were actually created for fellowship and community? Did you know that the devil uses this "lone wolf" approach to your faith to keep your healing "capped" and your growth limited? The devil will do whatever he can to keep you away from God (it is kind of his purpose). If you find yourself in a struggle, or in pain, or hurting, I know the first thing you will want to do is stay away from anyone and everyone. If people are driving you nuts especially, it makes sense that the last thing you want to do is BE AROUND PEOPLE. But here is the deal. You are human (his creation), and as a Christian you are his beloved. He created you for fellowship with his other beloved children, because through them he will work. Through them he reveals himself. Through them he reminds you that you are not alone in this world with your issues, pain, and persecution (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Faith only going so far these days? Healing just does not seem come like you thought? Anger running your days? If you are taking the same old approach by staying away from people, I guarantee that is where you will find the devil holding the cue cards for your life. Go off script, speak some scripture out in the world, release your worship, and find fellowship. As I am a witness to God and his healing powers, you are always going to get what you got if you continue to do what is always done! "And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone" (1 Thessalonians 5:14) "Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul" (Psalm 54:4)
